Pagoda Corporate Identity

Pagoda

Pagoda is a corporate identity created for a Chinese fruit company. The identity is built around two monkey mascots, drawn first as pencil drafts and then developed with digital design software. Monkeys were chosen because they are linked with fruit in Chinese culture, where they also symbolise wisdom and courage. The mascots dance through the four seasons, and the flowers around them change with each mood. The colours refer to flowers, seasons and nature. Printing applies ultraviolet coating and hot stamping. The aim is to present Asian culture with respect for natural life.

Pagoda Corporate Identity by 1983ASIA has been selected as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Pagoda Corporate Identity received the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2020. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which honors superior design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
