Espada Selvagem
Espada Selvagem is a visual identity for a medieval fencing club in Brazil. The design is inspired by the beasts of ancient heraldry, reinterpreted in a modern way. A jaguar was chosen because the animal is native to Brazil and suggests speed, energy and competitiveness. The spots of the jaguar are formed by circles that also create a sense of movement. The drawing follows the proportion of the golden ratio. The symbol is built in vector format, so the identity can be applied to uniforms, patches, books, medals, flags and social media in many sizes.
Espada Selvagem Visual Identity by Pedro Panetto was recognized as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Espada Selvagem Visual Identity won the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2025. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which recognizes outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
