Little Fairy
Little Fairy is a series of illustrations that personify flowers as women wearing the cheongsam, a traditional Chinese dress. Each figure is based on a study of the character and mood linked to a different flower. The images are drawn with computer vector software. A frame surrounds each scene and suggests a window, which gives the picture a sense of depth. Patterns on both sides of the frame are adapted from traditional Chinese motifs and shown in low relief. The series joins traditional culture with modern design to share the beauty of Chinese art.
Little Fairy Illustration by Tingting Jing has been identified as a creative illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Little Fairy Illustration won the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2022. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which celebrates outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
