Marathon T Shirt
As a complimentary service for marathon runners, the original icons were designed and provided as heat transfer labels so as to create one of a kind customized T-shirts at a caffe in Tokyo. To make it a memorable gift for runners from all over the world, the icons were reflected on Japan and marathon themes like Mt. Fuji, map of Japan, origami, running shoes, and marathon runners.
Marathon T Shirt Graphic Art by Chika Kakazu has been selected as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Marathon T Shirt Graphic Art was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2022. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that celebrates outstanding design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
